EquinorTALKS | Energy realities in a global and unstable world – is 1.5°C reachable?

-(UTC)
ONS, Equinor’s stand, Hall 8

EquinorTALKS @ ONS 2024

In 2024, almost half of the world’s population go to the polls. Many elections will demonstrate some of the key trends shaping the world’s politics and energy realities.

The geopolitical context is complex. Geopolitical competition, economic nationalism, and political polarization are some of the key trends shaping world politics. Energy supply, security and affordability have taken the front seat, and even contributed to acceleration of transition in some sectors. How does the global context affect the global energy transition? How will this affect energy needs, the progress of the energy transition and the climate dilemmas?

Watch the session via our stream here at Equinor.com or at our stand in the ONS exhibition area in Hall 8.

Speakers:

Trude Måseide is vice president Global Politics and Public Affairs in Equinor. She has previously held leadership positions in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Norwegian Prime Minister’s Office and was part of Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s team at NATO.
