This year, the Autumn Conference convenes in a historic election year. Business leaders and politicians must find a way forward in a context of potentially increased polarisation, geopolitical competition and tensions, aware that the worldâs ability to meet its climate goals hinges on the ability to reduce emissions.
The challenge will be to decarbonise our energy system, all while ensuring energy security in a situation with strained financial resources.â We are standing at global crossroads.
The keynote speakers are Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre, IEA Executive Director, Dr Fatih Birol, Norwegian Minister of Energy, Terje Aasland, and President and CEO, Equinor ASA, Anders Opedal.
The conference will take place at Det Norske Teatret in Oslo with a limited number of audience present and broadcast live on this page, open for all, Tuesday 26 November 09:00 â 12:00 PM CET. The Autumn Conference is a joint event hosted by Equinor, the Norwegian Ministry of Energy and the International Energy Agency (IEA).
