New head of media relations

Jannik Lindbæk

Lindbæk is to take over the position as vice president media relations, head of corporate press office and corporate spokesperson from Ola Morten Aanestad, who is appointed vice president media relations for Statoil in North America and will transfer to Houston during summer.

Lindbæk will join Statoil in April and take up his new responsibilities at further notice. Lindbæk comes to Statoil from his present position as senior vice president Corporate Communication in Aker Solutions.

Lindbæk is an experienced communications professional with a broad background. He has previously served as partner and consultant in leading Norwegian consultancy agencies and as communications director for Microsoft Norway.

Prior to this Lindbæk served as adviser and secretary to the board at GIEK - the Norwegian governmental institute for export credit guarantees and insurance.

Jannik Lindbæk holds a cand. polit. degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen and a Master of Science from London School of Economics.
