The foreign minister of Azerbaijan, Vilayat Guliyev, will be calling at Statoil during an official visit to Norway which starts today, 22 February.
Mr Guliyev is due to meet chief executive Olav Fjell, among others, in Oslo on the first of his three days in the country.
He will attend the Storting (parliament) on 23 February for a meeting with Norwegian foreign minister Knut Vollebæk and representatives from the Storting's standing committee on foreign affairs.
The visit continues to Stavanger on 24 February, where Mr Guliyev will be welcomed to Statoil by senior vice president for international relations and alliances Johan Nic Vold and Anne Kristin Sydnes, vice president for political risk and country analysis.
He will then be taken on a tour of the gas processing plant at Kårstø, north of the city.
Harald Finnvik, vice president for government and public affairs at Statoil's Azerbaijan office, says that this visit will help to strengthen the basis for continued collaboration between the two countries and between Statoil and Azeri state oil company Socar.
Socar vice president Khoshbakht Yusifzade is a member of Mr Guliyev's delegation.
