Automation

An automatician is a skilled electrical worker who installs, operates, and maintains automated systems. These systems control, manage and regulate automated production processes and electromechanical systems that operate without or with only minor input from humans.

The duties of an automatician can include:

  • Carrying out independent installation, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting in industrial and other automated low-voltage facilities
  • Calibrating metering equipment and transducers and setting up necessary calibration certificates
    Repairing, replacing, adjusting, and verifying all materials in our automated facilities
  • Installing and rebuilding automated processes or electromechanical systems

What kind of person are we looking for?

To be a good fit for this job, you need to be inventive and understand the big picture. Applied mathematics and logic is a big part of the job. You need to be able to understand a process from idea to finished product, and also understand the user's needs. You should like to tinker and work on mechanical issues and have good dexterity
