Statoil has awarded ABB Offshore Systems a contract for the maintenance and modification of the gas treatment plant at Kårstø north of Stavanger, and the Draupner platforms in the North Sea.
The contract, valued at NOK 325 million without options, includes design, implementation, verification and reporting of specific maintenance assignments. ABB Offshore Systems has for the last five years had a similar contract for Kårstø and Draupner.
“This is a major contract for our operational activities,” reports John Aspen, procurement manager at Kårstø.
Initially, the contract will run for five years, with options for three two-year extensions.
The contract will be signed at the end of November.
